The Department of Computer Science would like to recognize the milestone of its 40th anniversary by hosting several events to reconnect with our alumni. These events include:

• Social/Networking Weekend (November 12-14, 2010). Planned events include: a two hour kick-off reintroduction to the department, Alumni Distinguished Lecture, networking social, tours of new CS buildings and labs, visits with current students and faculty, and one-on-one interaction with faculty.  Registration for the Social/Networking Weekend is now open.

• Pacific northwest reception hosted by CS@VT at Microsoft on March 10, 2011 from 7-9 pm.  Presentation on state of CS@VT by Department Head Barbara G. Ryder. Open to alumni and friends of CS@VT.  Refreshments served. RSVP required.

• Department Open House (March 25, 2011). Planned events include research presentations, lab tours, student research posters and demos, luncheon.

We invite you, our alumni, to reconnect with the department and with friends and colleagues from your years at Virginia Tech by providing us current information on you and feedback on your interest in the 40th anniversary year events.
